About Phil
A little introduction
My name is Phil Newton, and I’m a startup shareware developer based in Northwest Leicestershire.
A brief history
My interest in computers started many years ago with a humble Vic-20, and many an evening was spent laboriously copying code from “Type your own game” books. However, my real passion for computing was ignited by the Atari ST, a machine that is still very dear to my heart.
I studied for a degree in Software Engineering at Nottingham Trent University, and in 2005 I recieved my Bachelor of Science (with honours). It was certainly an experience, and taught me a lot.
I began looking for work after graduation, but my dream was to start my own business, so I started to formulate my dastardly plan.
In the latter period of 2005, I started the Sodaware blog, and in early 2006 I opened the main Sodaware website.
