Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the August issue of the Sodaware newsletter!
Although it was supposed to be summer, July was a total weather washout. Despite the chilly temperatures, my laptop still managed to do an impression of a snowman in the Sahara. For once everything was backed up too, which fully deserved the victory jig that was performed.
Melting computers aside, work continues on our current title. It’s not much fun to work on anymore, which must mean it’s getting near to completion. The schedule says “September 2007″, but we all know how accurate they can be! Expect good news in next month’s newsletter…
Until next month,

Plantasia
This is the perfect puzzle-game for green-fingered gamers! Take on the role of a forest fairy, and bring derelict gardens back to life. You gain bonus points from picking flowers together, but at the same time you have to protect them from pests and make sure they’re watered.
The colourful graphics really help bring this game to life, and the garden setting is a easy on the eyes. It’s quite easy for hours to go by playing this!

Ricochet Infinity
Far more than just a breakout clone. Ricochet Infinity has many unique features, including multiple ships with their own strengths and weaknesses, great power-ups and innovative layouts.
The game itself looks fantastic, and screenshots can’t really do it justice. Backgrounds have subtle animations, and the blocks move smoothly across the screen. If you like breakout, Ricochet Infinity is well worth a try.

Zulu Gems
Zulu Gems is an interesting gem dropping game that brings back memories of Sega’s “Columns” and Capcom’s “Super Puzzle Fighter”.
The gameplay is a little different from most gem matching games, as gems drop from the sky and can only be destroyed by magic balls of the same colour. Different stages have obstacles that need to be overcome, such as areas where you can’t drop blocks.

Last Month’s Releases
Last month saw only one game released, but it was the excellent “Jewel Quest Solitaire“. Despite “solitaire” in the title, this game adds tonnes of new features to create a completely original experience.
