It’s October already?!
I was only just getting used to September!
We celebrated “talk like a pirate” day by releasing five different pirate games, which was hard work but a lot of fun. My personal favourite is “Pirates of Treasure Island“, because it mixes an addictive puzzle game with pirate adventures and mini-games. It’s definitely worth a download if you’re looking for a novel puzzle game.
October looks like being another busy month, with some truly great games coming out. Peggle Deluxe is a highly addictive puzzle game, Avernum IV is a great RPG and Mr Robot is a very classy 3D puzzle game. At least I won’t have to write about pirates!

Peggle Deluxe
The term “addictive” is often used to describe video-games, but in this case it would be an understatement! Peggle is one of those games that can be learnt within a few seconds, but will give you hours of enjoyment in return.

Avernum IV
It’s about time we had some more adventure games on Sodaware.net, and Avernum IV is a great addition to the site. It’s very much an “old school” style RPG, and is packed full of features and playability.

Mr Robot
Mr Robot is a fantasic indie puzzle game where you control a robot as he tries to rescue control of an intergalactic starship from a crazed supercomputer. There’s tonnes of depth to the puzzles, and it’s all toppped off with some beautiful 3D graphics.

Last Month’s Releases
September was a great month for pirate lovers!
Latest From The Blog
The blog hosted another carnival of video game bloggers in September, and as always there were plenty of great entries. Blog carnivals are a great way for new blogs to get some exposure, as well as helping visitors to find something new and exciting to read.
Other fun included our pirate week celebrations, and a look at what made the original “Halo” such a good game.
